Diving into new experiences and people unencumbered by fear

A deep dive into camper Chase Tucker's experience at Power Monkey Camp X:

My 2018 summed up in one pic...
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Basically it went like this: Throw myself into unknown circumstances outside of my comfort zone. Get exposed to so many memorable experiences and beautiful, growth-minded badasses that I wouldn’t have met otherwise. Learn, upgrade, repeat...
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This photo was shot at the end of @powermonkeyfitness camp, which was like being at a week-long stay at the Hogwarts of fitness and athletics. I was surrounded by a community of athletes, coaches, and average joes determined to learn more so they could grow a certain area of their lives (which of course spills over into excellence in other areas as well). Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE that I met at this camp exuded love, kindness, and camaraderie at a level that I simply did not expect. Whether it was to out of fear of looking stupid while learning new things, or maybe just “normal” self-defense antics to protect my ego, I was a bit more hesitant and standoffish than I’d have liked at the beginning of camp... but as you can see here, that clearly changed by the end of my stay at Power Monkey Camp.

Anyway, as I look back at 2018, if there’s one thing that the year taught me, it’s to dive into new experiences and people unencumbered by fear... the quicker I can trip, fall and stumble past the (perceived) painful pleasantries, the quicker I can get to the good stuff.

The good lessons, which beget knowledge and wisdom.
